Day 5 - Good Morning Run

I just so happened to be parked in a Thursday street cleaning spot which forced me up and out by 8 AM to avoid one of those lovely $45 tickets NYC is so fond of handing out.  Soo.. I tossed the bike in my truck bed and started my ride from the new spot.   Absolutely beautiful morning out but I was way underdressed and freezing in a t-shirt.  Still, I'd rather be cold than look like the spandex body suit nerds that passed me in the park.

I started by heading up PPSW and just enjoying the morning.  Surprisingly quiet for what I thought a weekday morning would be.  Guess I don't get out on that street much in the AM.  Stopped and took a nice long break at the Villa and briefly forgot I was in the middle of Brooklyn before the ride continued down to Grand Army.  The downhill home was actually thrilling.  Nothing like hulling ass with no breaks through crisp morning air.  I could actually smell the spring coming off the trees.

Today's beer selection was a bit weak.  After the ride there was a full day of work then into Manhattan to spend some qt with gf.  Luckily enough she had a cold Blue Moon Winter Abbey Ale in the fridge waiting for me.  This weekend will make up for it.  There will be some quality beer drinking for sure.
